Crystal Hillary from Manzini couldn’t believe her luck after she was announced the winner of MultiChoice Swaziland’s Big Brother Mzansi competition launched a couple of weeks ago.
The announcement was made during a press conference on Friday at MultiChoice Swaziland’s Mbabane offices.
Hillary, who has been afforded the opportunity to bring one friend, scooped a ticket to the opening ceremony.
Hillary and her cousin Linda Henwood will leave the country on January 30 and stay at the Big Brother Mzansi house until the night of the opening ceremony slated for February 2.
This is when the first ever season of Big Brother Mzansi will start airing on channels 197 and 198 on DSTV. Hillary and her friend Linda will get the opportunity to meet and mingle with the housemates who we will be watching for the next three months following the opening on our DSTV screens.
During an interview, she admitted that she was pleasantly surprised when she was informed that she had won because she had not anticipated that she would.
“I did not expect it so I was both shocked and excited,” she said.
Feedback
Adding to that, she said she was looking forward to the experience and would definitely bring back the necessary feedback for Swazis about the show. She also highlighted how it would be great in coming years to have a Swazi participate in the Big Brother Africa challenge.
She further urged more local DSTV subscribers to try their luck as she was proven that winning is possible.
“Do not overlook the competitions because the chances to win are there, look at me, I had not thought I’d stand the chance!” she went on to say.
MultiChoice Swaziland’s Marketing and Public Relations Officer Nontobeko Sibiya explained that Hillary would not be eligible to enter next year’s competition should a competition like this one take place.
Revealed
Sibiya revealed that this is for the purpose of maximising other people’s chances to win DSTV competitions. To stand a chance to win a fabulous, all expenses competition such as this one, interested parties must ensure that they subscribe with Multichoice Swaziland.
“The more subscribers that swift from the South African bouquet to ours, the better chances we will also stand to participate in the Big Brother Africa challenge in years to come,” Sibiya added.
