The guys kill it in the Chambermate puzzle challenge

After the girls and guys both painted their respective puzzles and swapped them in order to start the challenge, all the Housemates got comfortable in the lounge and began to watch. It began with Jenayne , Nku and Iris all wearing sexy animal ears and attempting to decipher the yellow, speaker box inscribed puzzle.

Jenayne was the most prominent participant in the challenge while Iris just sat back and watched, the challenge took the girls quite a long time which in turn frustrated the Housemates, especially Mandla andSol, who was literally shouting at the screen .

When the girls were done, there was a considerable amount of affection shown from Paris toward Iris, which definitely got the Housemates tongues wagging.

The guys challenge was a complete wildcard, they were able to put together their puzzle in a matter of minutes which severely irritated the girls and lead them to a very clear win. Well done to Kgosi, Mbali and Paris.
@BBMzansi watch the boys wrap it up in a few minutes!

And how will the 12 Housemates react when they find out there are 6 more Big Brother Mzansi contestants in the form of Chambermates!
This is a really bitter pill to swallow. And the plot thickens Big Brother Mzansi’sChambermate Nku is roomates with Nzamo in real life! I mean what a twist, Mzamo is in the main House and Nku is a Chambermate, I mean WHAT?!
Now, Biggie’s twist is this: Only a certain number of Chambermates will get to join the competition in the Big Brother House, let’s be clear, only 14 Housemates in total for Big Brother Mzansi Secrets, oh my, that means 4 housemates are going home, after all that hard work! News: MK and Mzamo get heated

We have all had this argument before, the roles that men and women play (or should) play in relationships. Everyone has an opinion on what is expected from both sides.

Both Mzamo and MK shared their views very openly, and it was clear that they had different stances on the topic.

While Mzamo is adamant that a man must contribute in a relationship in terms of spoiling his woman; and MK believes a man should not have to spend money on a woman just because he enjoys her company. The argument, as most arguments among people, just started as an open conversation between two people, but soon the entire House was involved; giving input left, right and centre. Thando clearly agreed with Mzamo as did most of the ladies in the House.

What is your stance on this seemingly touchy subject?

"Don't Label a Women if u can't meet her standards"Mzamo @BBMzansi

Lol "@SHORTY_DeeJay: Mzamo wants a guy with money and MK is broke, so why is MK complaining this much? Mhmmm @BBMzansi"

@BBMzansi : MK calm yourself down and recognize the Queen Mzamo!!!!!

Crystal Hillary from Manzini couldn’t believe her luck after she was announced the winner of MultiChoice Swaziland’s Big Brother Mzansi competition launched a couple of weeks ago.

The announcement was made during a press conference on Friday at MultiChoice Swaziland’s Mbabane offices.
Hillary, who has been afforded the opportunity to bring one friend, scooped a ticket to the opening ceremony.
Hillary and her cousin Linda Henwood will leave the country on January 30 and stay at the Big Brother Mzansi house until the night of the opening ceremony slated for February 2.

This is when the first ever season of Big Brother Mzansi will start airing on channels 197 and 198 on DSTV. Hillary and her friend Linda will get the opportunity to meet and mingle with the housemates who we will be watching for the next three months following the opening on our DSTV screens.

During an interview, she admitted that she was pleasantly surprised when she was informed that she had won because she had not anticipated that she would.

“I did not expect it so I was both shocked and excited,” she said.
Feedback

Adding to that, she said she was looking forward to the experience and would definitely bring back the necessary feedback for Swazis about the show. She also highlighted how it would be great in coming years to have a Swazi participate in the Big Brother Africa challenge.

She further urged more local DSTV subscribers to try their luck as she was proven that winning is possible.
“Do not overlook the competitions because the chances to win are there, look at me, I had not thought I’d stand the chance!” she went on to say.

MultiChoice Swaziland’s Marketing and Public Relations Officer Nontobeko Sibiya explained that Hillary would not be eligible to enter next year’s competition should a competition like this one take place.
Revealed

Sibiya revealed that this is for the purpose of maximising other people’s chances to win DSTV competitions. To stand a chance to win a fabulous, all expenses competition such as this one, interested parties must ensure that they subscribe with Multichoice Swaziland.

“The more subscribers that swift from the South African bouquet to ours, the better chances we will also stand to participate in the Big Brother Africa challenge in years to come,” Sibiya added.

Big Brother Mzansi Coming Soon!

Big Brother – and millions of television viewers - will be watching every move of a group of outgoing, yet house-bound South Africans again in January 2014.
M-Net announced today that its proudly local brand, Mzansi Magic, will produce another South African edition of Big Brother, and this time the show will aptly be called Big Brother Mzansi.
Yolisa Phahle, M-Net’s Director of Local Interest Channels, says hosting a reality show of the magnitude of Big Brother is a logical next step for Mzansi Magic. “The multiple requests over the years for another local version of this supernova television show, together with the overwhelming viewer response to Big Brother Africa signaled that it will be a sure-fire hit in our market.”
“Adding Big Brother to our varied, increasing portfolio of general entertainment productions - ranging from telenovelas, soaps, lifestyle shows, comedies to reality and drama – consolidates Mzansi Magic’s commitment to bringing the biggest and the best local shows to our viewers. The format is perfectly aligned to our vision which is to produce the most compelling content for audiences when they want it and where they want it. ”
In a bold move for the era of television at the time, M-Net and format owner and production company Endemol SA, introduced the concept of realty television to SA audiences in 2001 with the very first 24/7 Big Brother broadcasts in the Southern hemisphere. Big Brother and the irreverent inhabitants of the specially-built Big Brother House immediately grabbed the imagination of the nation, frequented newspaper headlines and even inspired academic thesis and debates.
Then, after a second South African season in 2002, Big Brother ventured into the entire continent, where it continues to create waves of excitement and viewer participation season after season.
Big Brother The Chase, an M-Net AfricaMagic property, is currently enthralling viewers across Africa with just under 1 million unique website visitors; over 1.5million video views (online); over 30million page views (online) and over 1 million messages to TV in just 2 weeks. Big Brother Africa also boasts more than 1 million likes on Facebook and generates approximately 300 000 tweets per week.
“We are extremely proud of all the Big Brother editions, “says Endemol SA Managing Director, Sivan Pillay. “The brand just keeps on growing and each season has had its own charm. We value our longstanding relationship with M-Net as a company and look forward to be collaborating with another channel in its family of brands.”
But who will the presenter be? Who may enter? When will the contestants be chosen? How much money is up for grabs? And, what will the theme be?
“This country-specific Big Brother will be filled with twists and turns, just like the Pan-African ones,” says Pillay. More will be revealed at a later stage.”
Big Brother Mzansi will be the 11th season produced by companies M-Net and Endemol SA. This includes 2 seasons of Big Brother South Africa, 8 seasons of Big Brother Africa and Big Brother Nigeria.

Lungile Radu to host Big Brother Mzansi

Producers and show executives of South African reality television show Big Brother Mzansi, which returns after 11 years for a third time, has announced that television personality Lungile Radu has been confirmed as the host of the series, which starts on 2 February 2014.

Radu will keep viewers informed and updated about everything that happens in the house and will be, for the most part, the housemates’ only contact with the outside world.

The actor and presenter has an impressive list of television credentials. He presented the popular programmes Kasi 101, O-Boma, Set It Off and Shout it Out on Channel O, Africa’s first music television destination.

Radu has also hosted Fear Factor and recently starred in the inspirational series Forever Young on Mzansi Magic, a programme he has co-created and developed.
Says Radu about being selected as the host of Big Brother Mzansi, “On a show of this magnitude and given this format particularly, it’s clear that the stars of the show are the housemates themselves, ordinary men and women suddenly thrust into the spotlight in a truly unique situation.

“Their prominence on the show allows me to take on more of a guiding role, helping audiences navigate the house and the relationships of those who live in it, while also engaging housemates themselves on their Big Brother experiences.”

He continues, “I’m really looking forward to my time on the show. It’s an opportunity for me to learn what goes into making this massive production. It appeals to the presenter but also to the producer in me. It will also give me the chance to hone my live presenting skills.

“Being on-air in real time is one of the most challenging aspects of TV presenting and there’s no better place to master that skill than on a programme where unpredictable characters, shocking twists and unexpected turns are in fact, normal.”

Yolisha Phahle, M-Net director for Local Interest Channels, commented on Radu’s selection as the presenter of Big Brother Mzansi, “Lungile has grown as we have grown. From his first appearance on air to his most recent work, he’s very much a part of the M-Net family. What really appealed to us is that he has the ability to engage with our audiences easily. They love his easy-going but polished demeanour. They admire what he has achieved and aspire to his success.”

She adds, “We knew that whomever we chose would have to understand that this show comes with a huge amount of attention, and as such they would have to be comfortable being in the spotlight.

“In addition, we knew that we needed to choose an individual who was committed to this project, which as a 24/7 production requires its host to be well informed about day to day happenings, as well as positioned to offer unique insights to viewers about the game.”

Producers Endemol SA are busy completing a revamped Big Brother house, as well as finalising housemate selection and putting finishing touches to plans.
Big Brother Mzansi starts on Sunday 2 February 2014 at 19h00 with a two-hour launch programme and will screen live 24/7 on channels 197 and 198 to pay- channel DStv Premium and Compact audiences.

Series’ highlights will also screen on Mzansi Magic so a wide DStv audience will be able to watch all the nominations, evictions, tasks, drama, parties, romance and more.
